My name is Megan. A mom of 3 wonderful humans. A 3x surrogate. A wife. A strong, independent woman who works a full time job.
A recovering addict.
I know, I know. When most people say that, ‘addict‘, the first thing that comes to mind is drugs or alcohol. That however is not the case here.
I am addicted to food. That’s right – food! Carbs and sugar are my drugs of choice.
I have been on a lifelong journey trying to fight my addiction, diet after diet, weightloss program after weightloss program. I’m happy to say that I am finally in recovery. I started in recovery on January 29, 2024.
Let me tell you, it has NOT been easy. Preparing healthy meals and exercise? HA! Who actually has time for that? Constant running from morning to night. School drop offs and after school activities. Somehow in between all of that we still need to fit in housework, laundry and routines. Schedule appointments and pay bills. Life is literally never ending.
I would love for you to join me on my journey as I outline my triumphs, my struggles, and everything in between. There are no secrets here, no holding back.
My goal is to help people feel seen. People who are experiencing some of the same struggles, or who have overcome the same obstacles can read my blog and know they’re not alone. If I can help motivate even just one person then I’ve done my job.
